Do these questions describe your situation?

Wendy has walked the divorce walk and has felt the pain, the fear and the lack of confidence you now feel. She asked herself most of the questions to the right. That is why she created Next Step Financial Solutions Inc. – so that people like you would have a safe place to talk about money and receive financial support and education during one of the intimidating, scariest and most stressful times of your lives.

Do you wake up in the middle of the night panicked about money?
Are you too stressed to look at your bank account? Not wanting to look at credit card bills or statements that come in?
Are you worried you won’t have enough money to take care of your children and provide them financial security?
Do you tune out when finances or numbers come up?
Does your financial advisor or your banker talk a different language that you don’t understand?
Are you afraid of your future? Do you feel your finances are hopeless?
Do you feel so overwhelmed it is easier to do nothing?
Are you worried that at the most emotional time of your life you are being asked to make the most important financial decisions of your life? Who do you trust?
Do you feel that you scrimped and saved over the years to now give it all away?
You’ve never taken care of the money (and don’t really want to) - where do you get help?
Do you feel only an accountant can understand all the numbers and language and complex financial “stuff”?
What options do you have?
Are you concerned this separation and divorce will cost too much?

Let us listen. Let us provide a safe place to have the difficult discussions at every stage of the divorce process

Mediation is where you can learn how to see conflict as an opportunity to learn, to listen, to understand and/or hear the underlying reasons (the inherent needs or interests) for each of you. You do not need to give in but you also do not need to bully to get resolution. In mediation, we use a tried and true process to guide people to develop their own unique, creative solutions to their conflict.
